After “feeling stuck” in her care home for over a year Audrey felt unable to leave whenever she wanted to for days out.

Audrey’s daughter Jenny contacted us after finding us online and reading about our outstanding reputation for helping customers of all age groups with their mobility needs.

Jenny knew that IJC were Lincolnshire’s only specialist supplier of wheelchair-adapted vehicles, and she wanted professional service from a trustworthy company.

After reading about IJC’s 5-star reviews and experiences left by previous customers, Jenny was confident that IJC genuinely cared about their customers, and she wanted only the very best for her mother.

When Audrey and Jenny arrived at IJC we instantly realised that the vehicle they had borrowed was too large and problematic for general day-to-day use. We could quickly see the amount of time and effort it took for Jenny to help her mother out of the vehicle.

We demonstrated and offered a wide selection of wheelchair-adapted vehicles, and we knew what our customers needed after a brief conversation relating to their requirements.

The smile on Audrey’s face, when she sat in the back of her newly chosen adapted vehicle, was fantastic for all to see.

She could now just imagine what a life-changing vehicle this was going to be and was delighted to be on the path to “freedom and independence” that this vehicle would now allow her to have.

These particular vehicles had up to a year and a half waiting list to buy new, so we were lucky to be able to offer this to our new customers.

A few days later Audrey’s new vehicle was ready for collection, and we had a few extra nice surprises waiting for Audrey!

On the day of collection, a special “V.I.P. service” was awaiting…

Upon greeting our now very excited customers, we asked that with their permission if we could have the “handover” of their new car recorded and filmed live!

They both excitedly agreed to this, and Audrey (in particular) seemed very excited indeed.

The look on Audrey and Jenny’s faces was amazing to see when they both viewed their new vehicle.

Audrey was amazed and she “couldn’t believe her eyes” when she saw her new vehicle pride of place and gleaming in our new Showroom…

As Audrey was a former florist and had a love of flowers, we presented her with a beautiful bouquet of her favourite flowers including daisies which she loved.

After a private conversation with her daughter Jenny regarding her mother, I asked if it was okay if we could add some nice bespoke and personalised decals for her mother, which we did for free.

Audrey had already named her new vehicle “Miss Daisy”, so we incorporated that specific decal in various places on her new vehicle along with her name.

It was fantastic to know that we were genuinely helping to improve the quality of our customers’ lives and we were fully aware of what a positive impact this vehicle would have on Audrey and her family.

This wheelchair-adapted vehicle has now provided a solution to our customers’ problems and will help alleviate the loneliness that Audrey had felt at times often feeling Stuck and looking at four walls in her care home as nice as it was and is.

Audrey could now leave her care home for days out and spend some quality, enjoyable and priceless times together with her daughter.
